    Person · Not stated

Still open: Satellite, aircraft and drone operators capture; no person is attested.

  2. 2. Captured locallyNot stated

    Camera · Not stated

Still open: Not a signed capture, so none (STANDARD §3). What is stated: Each delivery is tied to a named collection, sensor and data product in its order and STAC metadata. The sensor is named in operator metadata; nothing lets a buyer check it independently.

Place · Claimed. Positional accuracy is published per collection (e.g. BlackSky Gen-3 tasking < 10 m CE90 absolute); deliveries are AOI-georeferenced.

Still open: Accuracy is the operator's specification and is not checked per delivery; some collections list it as unknown.

Needs both: the weaker one counts.

  3. 3. Genuine deviceNot stated

    App · Not stated

Still open: No signing, checksum or provenance scheme for delivered files is documented.

  4. 4. Sealed captureNot stated

    Content · Not stated

Still open: No manipulation detection is documented; buyers can report quality issues within 7 days of delivery for investigation with the provider.

Notes

About. Geospatial marketplace for registered businesses. 25 tasking collections are integrated in the API (Vantor WorldView, Airbus Pléiades/Pléiades Neo/SPOT/TerraSAR-X, BlackSky Gen-2/Gen-3, Planet, Satellogic, Pixxel, Wyvern, Umbra, Capella, ICEYE, KOMPSAT, EROS-C, GEOSAT, GÖKTÜRK-1, Beijing-3, AxelGlobe), with validate, estimate, opportunities, feasibility and quotation steps; SatVu, Globhe drones and some others are non-integrated and ordered through the Operations team. Paid in prepaid credits (100 = €1).

Price. Not published in USD. Priced by AOI size, resolution, collection, acquisition mode, tasking priority and cloud cover; an estimate is given before purchase and a high-difficulty acquisition may carry a price uplift. Floors: BlackSky tasking from 17,500 credits (€175)/scene; minimum charges 1 scene (BlackSky, Planet, Satellogic, SatVu, Umbra, Capella, ICEYE, KOMPSAT-5, StriX, TerraSAR-X), 25 km² (Vantor VNIR, GEOSAT 2), 100 km² (Pléiades, Pléiades Neo, SPOT, Pixxel, Dragonette-1), 1 km² (Globhe drone). 5% bonus credits on purchases of 1,000,000+ credits. Credits are non-refundable; tasking shortfalls past the window are refunded pro rata on request.

Coverage. Collections are described as acquired worldwide, subject to each collection's coverage and restriction maps; many tasking collections need an access request that the data provider can reject based on the organisation or use case.

Timing. Acquisition time frames page: minimum lead time 0-3 days and minimum acquisition window 1-30 days by collection; actual time frames are set by the feasibility study, and UP42 can't give a specific capture date.

Licence. Data is licensed, not sold: the buyer does not acquire ownership (Terms of Purchase 5.1-5.2; Platform Services Agreement 13.2). Use is set by each provider's EULA, accepted before the first order and downloadable only after login; UP42 says most are non-transferable, non-sublicensable, non-exclusive and revocable. Original data is for internal use; external use and redistribution are usually not allowed, while derivative products can usually be shared (resale is set per collection EULA, so 'forbidden' is the safe reading). UP42's docs answer 'Can I resell the data I ordered?' with 'No'. AI or ML training is not addressed in the public terms or docs.
