Person · Not stated
Still open: ICEYE satellites capture the images, not people. Whether a person reviews a capture before delivery is not stated.
- 2. Captured locallyNot stated

Still open: Not a signed capture, so none (STANDARD §3). What is stated: Products come from ICEYE's own SAR satellites in a stated imaging mode, with sensor and orbit metadata. Which satellite and sensor took the image is ICEYE's word. No cryptographic provenance is published.
Place · Claimed. Tasks target a WGS 84 point. Products are geolocated using refined orbits and calibrated against ground-surveyed corner-reflector sites. ICEYE gives a fleet worst-case RMSE of 6 m, and its June-November 2025 campaign at Rosamond (521 images) found mean errors under 0.4 m.
Still open: The accuracy figures are ICEYE's own statistics, not proof for a single delivered image, and the campaign's raw data are not public. Error grows with terrain-model uncertainty.
Needs both: the weaker one counts.

Still open: No public method for detecting manipulated SAR imagery or proving what a product shows. Within 14 days you can report that a product does not meet the spec.

Time · Claimed. The task scene reports the actual imaging start and end, and product items carry start_datetime and end_datetime inside the requested window
Still open: No independent or signed timestamp. How acquisition times are validated is not documented.
A time stated, not attested (RFC 3161, a log): Reported.

Notes
About. ICEYE runs a large synthetic aperture radar (SAR) satellite constellation that images through cloud and at night. Its Tasking API v2 is for customers with a contract. They can get a price, check feasibility and task a new capture centred on a point. The capture window is at least 24 hours wide and ends within 14 days. The customer picks the imaging mode (Strip, Scan, Spot, Dwell and their variants), the priority, and how soon products are available after acquisition: 8, 3 or 1 hour.
Price. from_usd 0 means not published, not free. Each contract has a fixed pricing model, and the same task can cost different amounts under different contracts. GET /tasking/v2/price returns the price in minor currency units, but only on contracts with a pricing plan (hasPricingPlan). The docs' example of 529199 USD minor units (about $5,292) is only an example. Cancelling is free within 1 hour of submission or more than 72 h before the window. After that it costs 10% of the order value at 72-48 h, 20% at 48-24 h and 100% under 24 h, and a task cannot be cancelled once the window has started.
Coverage. SAR works through cloud and at night. Prices vary by region with demand. The contract decides which regions, imaging modes, priorities and exclusivity you may use, and the 1-hour SLA applies only in certain regions.
Timing. From the Create Task and Product Specification docs: products are available SLA_8H (default), SLA_3H or SLA_1H after acquisition. The window must start at least 12 h ahead (COMMERCIAL) or 24 h ahead (BACKGROUND), be at least 24 h wide and end within 14 days, so the time from order to product is usually more than a day.
Licence. Each task picks a STANDARD or GOVERNMENT EULA, and the full terms are in the customer's contract. ICEYE US publishes its EULA (updated 2 December 2025). It grants a non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable licence for the End User's internal use only. It forbids distributing, sublicensing, selling, publishing or making products public, and forbids commercial use. ICEYE keeps all title to products and to the parts of them inside the customer's derivatives. 'Data Derivatives' are outputs that keep no SAR pixels or sensor or ephemeris data and cannot be reversed back to them. The customer owns these outright and may use them for any purpose, credited 'Powered by ICEYE'. AI or ML training is not mentioned. Exclusivity: PUBLIC images go into ICEYE's public catalog 14 days after acquisition, where other customers can buy them. PRIVATE images are withheld from that catalog. The Product Specification says permanently, and the API docs say for the contract's agreed period.
