Each link
  1. 1. Real personNot stated

    Person · Not stated

Still open: AIS is broadcast by vessels; no identity of a person is attested.

  2. 2. Captured locallyNot stated

    Camera · Not stated

Still open: Not a camera source.

Place · Claimed. Positions are the vessel's own AIS-reported GNSS fix, with a posAcc accuracy flag.

Still open: AIS positions are self-reported and can be wrong or spoofed; nothing here authenticates them.

Needs both: the weaker one counts.

  3. 3. Genuine deviceNot stated

    App · Not stated

Still open: AIS messages are not signed in this feed.

  4. 4. Sealed captureNot stated

    Camera · Not stated

Still open: Not a camera source.

Content · Claimed. Digitraffic documents filtering (fishing vessels removed) and modification of vessel type values.

Still open: The feed is not a complete vessel census: filtered types and non-class-A traffic are absent.

Counts only with a stated signing mechanism (C2PA, a manifest).

  5. 5. Known timestampReported

Time · Claimed. Each location has a timestamp and timestampExternal, and the response has dataUpdatedTime.

Still open: These come from the vessel and the receiver/service and are unsigned.

A time stated, not attested (RFC 3161, a log): Reported.

Notes

About. Fintraffic's Digitraffic open-data service serves vessel locations and vessel metadata collected from AIS messages broadcast by vessels in Finnish waters, gathered from the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency's data sources, by keyless REST/JSON and by MQTT over WebSockets. AIS Class A position and metadata messages only, with fishing vessels removed.

Price. No price or key is mentioned on the pages read; the data are open data under CC BY 4.0.

Coverage. The page is titled 'Open data from Finnish waterways' and the data come from the Finnish Transport Infrastructure Agency's sources. Live sample: vessels at about 60N 25-28E (Gulf of Finland). The pages read do not give receiver coverage. Only AIS class A messages are served; fishing vessels (type 30) are filtered out and other vessel types are modified by published rules.

Timing. MQTT over WebSockets gives push updates (wss://meri.digitraffic.fi:443/mqtt); the REST locations response carries dataUpdatedTime.

Licence. Terms of service: "Fintraffic's open data is licensed under the Creative Commons 4.0 By license. It gives the right to distribute, remix, tweak, and build upon our data, even commercially, as long as you credit the source." Required attribution example: "Source: Fintraffic / digitraffic.fi, license CC 4.0 BY". The terms do not mention AI training or resale by name.
